A hundred kilometers with the right technical clothes, ski and sleds on the ice of Greenland. The expedition of people from Alto Adige has crossed Proestefjeld Sermilikvejen glacier, facing an altitude gap of about 1000 meters.
The group left from Munich the 17th of May with a flight to Rekjavik, stopped there for a day and then flied to Kulusuk, in Greenland. From here an helicopter carried the three men from Alto Adige to Igumit (Tasilaq), where they was guests of the Red House, the home of treatment founded by Robert Peroni to save the young Inuits from the alcoholism and suicides that are leading them to extinction. Only at this point the real adventure began, and went on for five days.
Markus Reinstadler, expedition leader at his 6th experience in Greenland, Giorgio Gajer e Stefan Reinstadler took skis and recovered pulka, sleds on the which they loaded all the necessary materials for the crossing. Arrived at Kong Oscars Havn, they went through Proestefjeld Sermilikvejen glacier: dragging more than 40 kilos each and sleeping in two small tents, with temperature around -20° and -25
